‘gentle ache’

where is this
i’d heard of it
but always thought it was a myth
little more than an urban legend
now
standing in the midst of this foreign landscape
i try to adjust
its beauty overwhelms me
taking in the sights through closed lids
so as not to overload
my senses already buzzing
heart pounding
differently
this gravity draws a gentle ache
an ache worth embracing
i cling tightly
knowing that restoration is here to be found
if i let myself
just recognise
appreciate
and know
